DON'T OVERPAY FOR COLLEGE

We are college planning experts that guide you through the college funding process.

Our goal is to save you time, energy, and resources

College planning has become a retirement issue. Many parents underestimate the amount of time, energy, and money it will take to put one or all of their children through school. The cost of college is rising astronomically, and the available forms of financial aid (grants, scholarships, loans) can be difficult to understand and to maximize.

Our goal is to help your child get into the right school for them, and to take advantage of any and all financial aid available to make it the right price for you.

We host workshops every two weeks around the Denver, Colorado area. Attending one of these workshops is the primary way to get started with our process. Click "learn more" to see a list of upcoming workshops.

OUR PROCESS

STUDENT AND ACADEMIC SERVICES

It all begins with your student. Our dedicated college counselors help your son or daughter pick the right schools where they would be competitive applicants. Additionally, we help your student identify potential major(s). Lastly, we walk them through the college application and admissions process (essay review, application assistance, etc.)

ADMISSIONS AND FINANCIAL AID STRATEGY

Once we identify the best schools for your student, we formulate an admissions strategy that will increase their likelihood of being accepted. Additionally, we walk you through the appeals and negotiation process in hopes of increasing the financial aid award from the school.

FINANCIAL AID GUIDANCE AND PAPERWORK COMPLETION

Our financial aid team completes any and all financial aid forms required by the schools your student is applying to. We make sure all of the forms are submitted accurately and on-time as missing deadlines or making mistakes in this process can be very costly.

COLLEGE FUNDING STRATEGY

Our strategy design team will develop a detailed financial plan to pay for any out of pocket college expenses in the most efficient way possible. Our goal is to help you get college costs paid for without tapping into savings or assets that are purposed for retirement or other goals.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid can come in the forms of grants, scholarships, and loans. Paying for college is a lot like buying an airline ticket - no one really pays full price anymore. We help you find additional funds and navigate the complicated process of qualifying for additional financial aid dollars.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

Don't wait until the tuition bill shows up to figure out where the money will come from, and how you are going to pay for it. Our detailed financial planning will help implement strategies to reduce your out of pocket costs as well as to know where every dollar will come from, ahead of time.

COLLEGE COUNSELING

A large part of the college planning battle is choosing the right school. We will interview your student and learn more about what makes them tick, and help pick the right major/degree program for them at a school that is the right "fit."

APPEALS PROCESS

We are experts at negotiating with schools through a formal appeals process. We are often able to find additional financial aid through this process.

ADMISSIONS STRATEGIES

Once we identify the right school for your student, we provide them with the best positioning strategies and application help to ensure they are accepted.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We do the legwork to find the most relevant and likely scholarships for your son or daughter to apply for.

Andrew Hathaway, CCFS® Founder & College Funding Specialist

After years of working with my clients and helping them plan for retirement, it became clear to me that paying for college is one of the biggest barriers to a secure financial future.

Over the course of time, I began to learn about different strategies available to maximize financial aid and to reduce out of pocket costs. With my background in financial planning, I was able to combine these two disciplines to save parents time, energy, money through the process of sending their children to college.

Our goal is to prevent you from becoming a casualty of the "system" before your kids go to school, not after.

Andrew is a Certified College Funding Specialist (CCFS). He also has a Series 65 and life insurance licenses.
